  • Developed a responsive media app that can be invoked by html or by SAP Fiori.
  • The app was written in SAPUI5 using Eclipse Juno, and re-written using the new SAP WebIDE tool that was released in October 2014. The app lists 20th century broadcast media with drill down to Network, Genre, and Episodes.
  • The platform for the backend system is SAP ECC, which employs four custom tables for Show, Network, Genre, and Episodes.
  • The NetWeaver Gateway Service Builder (SEGW) was used to model, generate, and implement the necessary OData Service.
  • Both Eclipse Juno and WebIDE were used to build the UI5 app that consumes the OData Service. Finally, Fiori Launchpad Designer was configured to provide a dynamic tile for invoking the UI5 app. Because the UI5 app uses the new sap.m library in the bootstrap, the app automatically responds to device type (desktop, tablet, phone) by adjusting presentation format.
