SAP Program Manager
Responsibilities:
- EAM-CARS Project: Over $4 mn initiative to transform the CAR business processes such as Inspect, Repair, Move, Invoice and more. I managed the Vendor selection process, Vendor on boarding, Design thinking sessions, Blueprinting workshops, Resource management, Project governance, RAID’s governance, Development objects estimation, Trend reports and other more.
- SAP Ariba Product evaluation project: This project is to assess Ariba’s s/w feasibility in the Sourcing and AP departments. The tasks included scheduling workshops, managing RAID items and follow up tasks.
- Fleet Management Pilot Project: This is a pilot initiative to implement a SAAS fleet management s/w in two markets. The vendor will manage the company’s fleet of vehicles, resources who drive them, Claims and other related business processes. I managed Blueprinting workshops, created a detailed project plan and other project governance activities.
- T-companies Transition Project: The parent company acquired an Intermodal and S/W sales company utilizing its own Informix legacy system with modules such as Intermodal, Software and Service sales. Project was initiated to integrate the backend systems with SAP to reduce redundancy. I managed a complex SAP Transition project of six company codes into SAP of modules such as HCM, P2P, R2R, Security(GRC/SOD) & BW. The project duration was for 7 months with over 20 onshore & offshore resources. The internal cost of the project was around $5 mn. Project tasks included managing Business blueprinting sessions, Data conversion, Interfaces, Weekly Cadences, Leadership updates, OCM tasks such as Communication & Training. We went successfully live at the end of 2016
- SAP Hana Upgrade Project: This project was part of the Technical currency initiative and also strategically aligned with moving the company onto a Simple Finance and Logistics systems in future. I managed the upgrade of modules such as HCM, P2P, R2R, BW, BOBJ, EAM, EHSM & Security(GRC/SOD). The project consists of over 80 resources both onshore & offshore with tasks consisting of Hardware upgrade, SAP premium support, Test cases development, Time management, Capacity and Demand planning, Co-ordination with the Business partners, Cutover plan & more. Five test cycles (Unit, String, Integration, UAT, DR) were executed to resolve any defects tied to SAP transactions, Security & Hardware issues. Also managed test cases development workshops and ESS/MSS blueprinting workshops. The cost of the project was around $8 mn.
- TRACS project: The objective of this Consortium project is to manage the transition from Mainframe of Time to Gross payroll, Bid/Bump, Gross to Net payroll, Bulletin process and other Union workforce functionalities into SAP. Managed the Vendor selection process, Vendor scorecard, Vendor interviews and conducting Vendor orals. I built in O365 Sharepoint portal Risks, KDD, Issues, Action items and Parking lot items list. Workflow was also enabled to track item lifecycle. Currently in Build phase.

- Contract Approval System: Managed offshore programmers and onshore testers (7 resources and a budget of $1M) in the migration of C ontract A pproval S ystem to SQL and SharePoint, as well as the business rules and Org charts to SAP BPM. Process for data migration included 4 mock cycles and a Go-live with the migration 15 tables and 140K attachments tied to Contract records
- Pricing Project: Pricing in SAP is not flexible and dynamic therefore the Business decided to implement a new Pricing solution called Vendavo. It is designed for Quoted materials (zero price) and managing the full lifecycle of a Sales starting from Deal management, Price manager and Profit analyzer. I developed Conversion and Validation strategy for Data migration by leading the On/Offshore teams. I also managed over three UAT’s working closely with the Business. This was a SDLC project with a budget of $1.5M and 12 resources were part of the team.
- Financial Supply Chain Management: To efficiently manage Customers and balance a sale with any potential Collection and Dispute resolutions expenses it was decided to implement FSCM module. I managed the Business process and Data migration from Oracle to SAP pertaining to Collection Profile, Dispute management, Credit management including the co-ordination of File creation, Interface development, Business processes, SAP CTS Releases and Four Testing phases. We utilized HPQC for defect resolution after each test cycle, keeping the project on-time and under budget.
- Click Schedule Integration: Due to challenges presented by Mobile workforce it became imperative to manage their productivity and the assets utilization required to execute a Work order. A 3 rd party Workforce/Field Mobility Management software “Clickschedule” was implemented. Master and transaction data pertaining for Crews and Materials/Services were extracted, transformed and loaded from an ERP system to ClickSchedule.
- Chemical company acquisition integration: The parent firm acquired an Oil rig servicing firm Multi-Chem which serviced rigs throughout the South-West US. To derive the benefits of the acquisition and cut down redundancy it was decided to migrate business processes (FI, OTC, FSCM, Sales agreement and Treater trucks) and data from the Oracle EBS system to SAP. I managed a $2M and 20 resources SDLC project of integrating SAP processes such as OTC, SCM, MFG, P2P and FA. The method selected to migrate Master and transaction data was to use secure FTP with data extract and transformation done in Oracle system and loads in SAP. I created Project plans, Variance reports, SAP CTS release schedules, RFC, Conversion trackers, Metrics and Load summary.
