Responsible for installing SQL Server database instances in all environments including but not limited to development, Quality Analysis and Production.
Create stored procedures, advanced queries, triggers, views, indices, and functions for databases.
Can migrate databases from SQL Server 2000/2005, SQL Server 2005/2008 and SQL Server 2008R2 to 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017.
Responsible for supporting the SQL Server databases and ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
Be involved in performance testing and optimization.
Manage the products and development databases including performance tuning, capacity planning, SQL Server clustering, database security configuration, and database continuity.
Managing SQL Server database security by granting permissions securable to the principals and automate various routine maintenance tasks like backups, index reorganization, index rebuilds on all production databases
Using Data availability solutions like Online Restore, Online index operation, Database Snapshot and Fast Recovery.
Pro - actively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
Can establish standards and schedules for database backups by making sure that the backup schedules meet the recovery requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Can establish and enforce all database standards. Maintain the proper use of storage space requirements and adding new storage space (disk drives) when required.
Responsible for installing SQL Server and upgrade existing SQL Server and ensuring the success of upgrades.
Perform backups of all SQL servers 2005/2008 daily, weekly, and monthly
Ensure security of the database servers by implementing applicable security patches and maintaining appropriate security measures.
Have knowledge of High Availability of database servers using Database mirroring, replications, Log Shipping and Always On Availability Group.
Monitor Database Consistency/health by using DBCC Commands & DMVs at regular intervals.
Can rebuilt and Reorganize indexes at regular intervals for better performance.
