  • Developed a suite of RFCs in ABAP for the Manage My Team (MMT) project. RFCs were called by a .NET - based user interface front end to automate the following HR actions: update cost center, update work location (personnel area), pre-hire, hire, re-hire, transfer, update work schedule, create new position, engage/re-engage contractor, pay change, promotion, one-time payment and termination. MMT is an ASP.NET based application that serves as an advanced custom replacement that automates much of the functionality of MSS forms.
  • Implemented several customer exits and BADIs to default and check values entered in HR infotypes.
  • Developed several SOAP-based web service interfaces between SAP ECC 6.0 and Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) - a .NET-based identity management system. Configured web services in transaction SOAMANAGER with endpoints and logical ports for DEV, TST and PRD systems.

  • Designed and developed an HR master data interface in ABAP from the AB InBev Global Template SAP HR system to the local US SAP HR system. PA/OM/payroll/time data transferred via ALE/IDocs. Due to the complex translations and user interaction required in the receiving local system, intercepted IDocs in receiving system and processed into SAP via custom ABAP code instead of automatic IDoc update.
  • Developed HR Master Data ALV user interface/workbench to facilitate HR master data tracking and processing. Workbench allowed HR admin staff users to track which master data transferred automatically in background and which master data required user interaction in foreground to successfully load in destination local HR system. Most org management data transferred in background while US-specific payroll/time master data required user interaction.

  • HR ABAP developer on the MyCalPays 21st Century Project. The MyCalPays system provides SAP payroll services to California’s 243,000 employees, making it the largest SAP payroll implementation in the world.
  • Designed and developed an FI journal entries program that processes each payroll-related FI document (from BKPF/BSEG tables) for accounts configured in a custom AR GL table. For entries matching the specified configuration, the program populates a custom AR overpayment tracking table.
  • Designed and developed an overpayment tracking and reporting program to read and report data from the custom AR overpayment tracking table and provide ALV reports.
  • Implemented both implicit and explicit enhancements in payroll posting program to call custom overpayment logic.

  • Designed and implemented custom ABAP Objects classes to enhance Time Quota Compensation. Code defaulted/validated the number to compensate field using an extensive set of rules based on the employee’s vacation quotas and the employee’s membership in the district’s multiple unions. Also developed a mass upload program that leveraged these same classes. Used customer exit to default infotype values.
  • Developed program that produced payroll attendance rosters for the district’s time administrators. The program automatically summarized absences/attendances and ESS leave requests for each employee. Program used Adobe Forms to produce the rosters and allowed time administrators to automatically approve time entries using the program.
  • Developed an Adobe Form for the time statement. Program evaluated time for all active employees and produced an Adobe Form containing employee personal information, time worked and leave balances.
  • Developed multiple interfaces including: Medicaid demographics and payroll outbound, Department of Education staff experience outbound, maintenance wages outbound.
  • Developed multiple ABAP Web Dynpro reports including: payroll overpayments, overpayment aging and write-offs, and payroll results summary by finance categories.

  • Created new and classic BADI implementations to default and check infotype data in PA30 transaction.
  • Many of the above interfaces and reports were developed using a custom object-oriented interface framework. The framework factored out common code applicable to all such programs resulting in improved maintainability and reduced development time.

  • Designed and developed a program to parse BDC session results processed through the transaction manager. Programs reads the BDC session log files and summarizes the dollar amount and error messages of transactions found to be in error.
