I am an Confidential IS - Retail Hands-on Solution Architect and Functional Consultant with a seldom seen depth and breadth of experience in key sub-sectors of the Retail Industry (Grocery, Fresh Food and Fashion Retail) as well as Confidential IS Retail and relevant Confidential bolt-on Solutions and Modules (POSDM, F&R, Fiori, OTC, P2P, LE, WM, RP and SRM) as well as good integration experience with the POS Outbound and Inbound (Bonus Buys/Promotions/GTINs/Sales Sets/WPUUMS-WPUBON), the FI-CO module, eWM/3PL DC System Integration and Legacy System Integration.

As Lead SME in the Co-op Trading Area I am responsible for producing Data Object Migration Strategy documents (DOMS’s) and Mapping Documents for Data Migration covering Retail, Wholesale, Markdowns and Cost Prices as well as Site Masters, Site Groups and Site Hierarchy. This involved working extensively with Vistex Resources as Co-op are implementing Vistex DMP.

I am also responsible for Interface Specs and Mapping Documents for the same module areas as well as doing the configuration for Pricing Schemas.

Fiori, Integration and Sales and Distribution Lead

I was recruited to be a key part of the implementation team deploying App-based Online Shopping. This is an AGILE project. As part of the scrum team for Order Management I role has been designing the custom Fiori Apps required to support order management such as Picking, Invoicing, Order Tracking and Manifesting. I have also been working with the PI resource integrating the Shopping App and Pricing Engine (both held in a Java based Services Layer) with the Confidential Retail SD module end-to-end.

Pre-Sales system set-up for new consultancy in the US

I spent some time as a paid favour to people I know who are in the process of setting up a new boutique consultancy in the States. Primarily I was focused on Fiori but I also assisted with other demo solutions. I made several long visits to the USA in between working on this piece for personal reasons.

Confidential IS-Retail Purchase to Pay Team Lead

Celesio is a pharmaceuticals company based in Stuttgart Germany that owns a number of retail chains including Lloyds Pharmacy. They are part of the McKesson Group who are headquartered in the United States.

This is an ongoing project aimed at initially deriving a global blueprint for Celesio. The next phases would then be to roll this out to other countries where Celesio has operations primarily in Europe.

My responsibilities were initially to hold workshops with the top level stakeholders aimed at establishing high-level scope within the Procurement to Pay workstream. In addition I also guided and provided input to the design of other Confidential functional areas including Order To Cash and Inventory to FulfilDecember 2014 to July 2015 (8 months)

Confidential IS-Retail Solution Architect/ Confidential F&R/POSDM-CAR & Fiori Consultant

This is a highly unique project as the client decided to implement 2 of Confidential ’s brand new Rapid Deployment Solutions (RDS’s) namely the Grocery Starter Pack (with a virtually full solution stack including F&R, CAR and eWM) and Instore Food Production.

All Confidential systems in the landscape are going to run on Confidential HANA with Confidential Fiori Apps being used to enable users to access many of the processes.

This was another unique combined Solution Architect and hands-on consultant role in the Confidential F&R space.

During my time on the project I set up a Fiori Prototype for the client (Embedded Gateway) with a suite of standard Apps plus a limited amount of extensibility (due to time constraints) where required. I also explained the extensibility options to the client’s in-house technical team.

In terms of functional responsibilities my brief was to design and implement Confidential F&R in the Greggs supply chain forecasting and replenishment function. Initially for stores and later on in the project this will be extended to DCs and Greggs manufacturing sites.

My responsibilities in this unique combined role were as follows:

  • Attend all Confidential A2O (Assemble to Order) Workshops including Confidential CAR as I had experience with POSDM
  • Identify and document all issues and potential gaps for both Grocery Starter Pack, Confidential CAR and Instore Food Production identified during the A2O Workshops
  • Develop a high-level design blueprint for all F&R related processes
  • Carry out Fit-to-Gap workshops
  • Work with Confidential in enhancing the standard RDS where possible
  • Prepare Change Request documents for all Gaps to be delivered by Keytree
  • Implement the gaps using the Rapid Deployment model

Confidential IS-Retail Solution Architect

My responsibilities in this unique combined role were as follows:

  • Define, develop and document High Level Designs for solutions in the IS-Retail Confidential Environment n line with the business requirements compliant, governance rules and policies and standards
  • Manage the detailed design and implementation to ensure that current and future business needs are addressed and the solution is as compliant as possible with the architectural framework, Confidential standard functionality and with the drive to provide a single regional template across all countries in scope. .
  • Work with key business stakeholders to ensure cross-the-board understanding and buy-in to high level and detailed design proposals
  • Collaborate with the IT development and IT Infrastructure teams to assure the architectural solution is translated and implemented robustly.
  • Review and approve, change requests, WRICEF documents and Blueprints delivered by the functional teams.

As Principal IS-Retail Functional Consultant my duties included

  • Acting as an additional resource to functional teams experiencing capacity or capability issues
  • Analysing business requirements and translate High Level Designs into detailed solutions
  • Performing required configuration and prepare functional specifications for WRICEF requirements in given functional areas
  • Liaising with the ‘near shore’ technical team (located in Athens, Greece) during the build and testing phases for WRICEF requirements
  • Performing testing and defect resolution throughout the testing lifecycle (including regression testing of existing functionality) for designated processes, functionalities, WRICEFs and solutions.
