Installed a new SAP ERP 2005 (ECC 6.0) and Solution Manager 7.0 landscape on a Linux/Oracle platform at a chemical company to support their financial systems. This involved a three-tier landscape (DEV, QAS and PRD), along with a fully functional Solution Manager system to manage the environment. Installed all the systems, support packs, support stacks, Java “SCA” and “SDA” files using the Java tools – Visual administrator, Config Tool, JSPM and SDM. Performed all the Basis tasks associated with these systems including setting up CTS, ITS, printers, security, tuning and monitoring.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:
Currently an SAP Basis Administrator for Mannington’s SAP 4.7 production environment running on a Windows 2003 cluster, SQL 2000. I support Mannington SAP BI implementation on NW2004s, BI 7.0 cluster (Java and ABAP stack) and SAP Enterprise Portal. Perform all the basis tasks for support of over 300 concurrent SAP R/3 users. This involves tuning of SAP and the Database, upgrades, patch management ,CTS, setting up printers and capacity planning. I also support Mannington SAP ITS application – over 200 external customers access SAP via ITS to check on order status and inventories. I also support Mannington SAP Portal – internal user access the SAP BW production system using the Portal to run queries. I worked with and configure SAP operation modes, Logon Groups, client refreshes, client copies, RFC’s, third-party interfaces and the MMC (stop/start SAP app).

Responsibilities/Deliverables:
Supported FMC’s SAP system (4.6C, 6.40) on IBM AIX RS/6000 and Windows 2003 Server platforms. I also support SAP BW/BI Netweaver platform. Responsibilities include: monitoring, tuning and trouble-shooting the applications. In this position I am responsible for creating AIX file systems, logical volumes, and volume groups for the database application. Also responsible for backups and restores of the file systems using IBM SMIT and SQL Microsoft Enterprise Manager Utilities. SAP responsibilities included the monitoring, tuning and problem resolution for the SAP, Informix and SQL systems with over 300+ concurrent users. Database responsibilities includes monitoring database response times, creating and adding “chunks” to the database, performing production “refreshes” of production data to SAP test and sandbox systems. I also support and administer the SAP transport system (CTS). I have setup and maintain numerous websites for FMC using SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS). I was the technical lead for FMC’s SAP upgrade from 3.1I to 4.6C and 4.6C to mySAP ERP. I was the project manager for the integration of third-party products with SAP (EDI Gentran Mentor, Topcall faxing solution and Cass Logistics RMS).
