• Plant maintenance - Send an Email to the creator of a Notification IW21 / PM Order IW31 when the work has been completed and the PM Notification is changed to a Closed Status. If the user's email is not maintained then an email will be sent to the plant lead for the plant the notification was written for. Used workflow technique to design this solution, for error handling maintained all the plant lead's email in a Rule to make it flexible and easy to change.
• Material Master Enhancement for external material - Logansport plant in North America receives part from the customer and is in charge to perform coatings and finishing to the material. To achieve this, the received material has to be handled in inventory but only in quantity and no value. This material should be created online by the users not through any conversion. Design an enhancement which will allow user to create this specific type of materials through a specific number range and validations.
• Designed and developed a searching/reporting cockpit for searching notifications based serial number using Webdynpro. The functionality is to combine a series of transaction codes in single platform instead of double-click, cut and paste, and navigate through these transaction codes. Summary of development - Search Equipment serialized per serial number IQ09 - Get the partner details of equipment IE03 Search notification for same equipment/Sold-to-party/status IW68 - Display notification IW53 .

Role Responsibility:

Severstal is one of the challenging project delivered from IBM GD. Pallab, as a team member of four onsite development coordinator went to Moscow, Russia and initiated development process from there. All the Functional Owners are from IBM Russia and it's the first SAP implementation project where GD Global Delivery was involved and for them also it was a new process to work Remote Development Methodology . Initially it was a challenge for Pallab to start up, made them aware of the GD process and guidelines and also made them comfortable with the team of developments coordinator and as well as with offshore. It was challenge and as an onshore team member Pallab took up that and started successfully. Another big challenge in this project is Language barrier, every FS was designed in Russian then it was translated to English. Certainly clarity of the requirement was lost for most of the cases then Pallab started the FS briefing call or initial FS walk through call for all the requirements to get the clarity of the requirement as well as to solve most of the development related issues. Pallab as a GD onsite coordinator had to initiate the call, sometimes he needed help from the translator but at last it was happen successfully and proved its effectiveness. Pallab had successfully delivered 35 objects this is challenging and showcase project he ever worked.
