This engagement is the proof of concept for retrieving the data from MDMe 5.5 4 and providing it on the Enterprise Portal for Drill Down searching of the various products from the MDMe catalogs. This POC also shows how to create Sales Order from the SAP ABAP with calling from Enterprise Portal.User is given option to select the catalog he wants. He is show the product attributes and product classifications dynamically based on the drill down. Once the user is ready with the search criteria he would search for all the matching records. Once he found the records, he would enter the Quantity for creating the sales order and clicks the Sales Order Creation button. Here for the data shown on the EP is fetched from the MDMe which is done by using the EJB and used it on the WebDynpros. This webdypro application is shown as an IView on the Enterprise Portal. The Sales Order is created by passing the information from the WebDynpro to SAP R/3 Server.

Implementation Detail

The main objective of the project is to populate contribution margin using the production data and sales invoice data. In this project we calculated BOM using GEMMS formula. After that we calculated contribution margin. Previously each pole business areas was using different CM Tools. But GE wanted to integrate all CM Tools to do global CM Tool. Finally we populated different drill down reports from the CM Tool data base and user control tables.This project is based on data warehousing and web technologies. To load the extracted files into tables we used Autosys. Autosys is the third party tool used for job scheduling in oracle. It alerts Sql loader depending on schedule to load extracts.
