Calculation Engineer

Hardware

  • Designed a magnetic clutch for high power conveyor applications.
  • Designed a magnetic adjustable speed sheave drive for the oil & gas industries.
  • Designed a 5000 HP water cooled variable speed motor drive. Developed requirements, performed CFD to design and optimize cooling system, magnetic simulation to characterize performance, and stress analysis (hand and FEA) to inform detail design.
  • Developed a new linear motor for automation industry that provides 10% more force, and is 25% lighter than competing products.
