Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in a fast paced environment for the Confidential Development/Support Team.
  • Mainly responsible for supporting the batch Confidential Billing system on the mainframe with regard to production maintenance and system enhancements.
  • Majority of assignments are comprised from projects requested by our client to in corporate new functionality into the Billing
  • System to provide for the clients business needs. Committed to eight projects a year with each project cycle running six weeks using Agile (Scrum) Methodology.
  • Responsible for design review, unit test plan development, coding, unit testing, code quality inspections, turnover to QA and Production, support QA testing and production implementation.
  • Also, accountable for troubleshooting and rectifying issues documented in problem tickets along with supporting production and QA batch cycles with 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Worked into new opportunity with Confidential Passer projects to develop, test and implement "passer" modules to manipulate data on production files at the client’s request.

  • Given primary responsibility for redesign, recoding, testing and documenting the Pension Estimate Reporting System for the Lincoln Police and Fire Division.
  • Purpose was to eliminate redundancy within the system code causing maintenance difficulty, remove End-User's previously identified errors from the system, and analyze the system for additional potential problems that would create inaccurate reporting of the pension estimates.
  • Work effort essentially consisted of batch COBOL/DB2, and XPEDITER.
  • The new Pension Estimate Reporting System resulted in a significant code reduction, from 1 3 lines, the correction of various faults found in the original code, and updated documentation outlining the new system flow.
  • Second assignment was later requested to apply additional enhancements to the improved Pension Estimate Reporting System.
