- The first draft of the homepage (June 2012), was initially conceived considering the performance in the future (because of the responsiveness requirement) so a SPA was prototyped using Bootstrap 3 Framework, AngularJS /Node.js (considering a very high rate of concurrent users), and fetching JSON data via AJAX requests. When a user entered the site, they loaded the page once, and all the other elements (banners, e-Spots, visual elements, etc) were part of the background processes. However, the Client had an agreement with IBM to use their Websphere Commerce Server (WCS) and the architecture had to change for something simpler since all the business logic was handled by the CMS. The final product uses JQuery for some of the animations (menus, tooltips, popups, etc.), HTML5, CSS3 and JSP to handle all the requests directly with the CMS tool.
