  • Led development effort to create a web portal for field engineers that would allow them to create, view and print order, shipment and packing slip reports. Web 3-tier .NET application written in C# allowed users to view reports in HTML (rendered via XSLT), Excel, or PDF. In-Line queries accessed Oracle 9i database.
  • Designed and developed a pricing quote application for the Professional Services sales organization. The application is divided into 2 parts:
  • A web based application that allows users to enter reference information such as labor and market rates into a central repository (SQL Server 2000).
  • A Windows client application that utilizes the reference information and generates custom pricing quotes for sales personnel.
  • The web application was written in classic ASP and utilized JavaScript for the client scripting. The windows client application was written using VB.NET. The reference information, which was downloaded from SQL Server to the client, was stored in XML. The generated quotes were stored in Microsoft Access.
  • Create web based and client/server applications supporting the Global Services division. Responsibilities included designing databases, creating database objects (tables, stored procedures, constraints), and writing the user interface as well as business and database objects. This commercially sold product is a distributed multi-tier client/server application. Dynamic HTML, Active X components (created using VB 6.0), JavaScript, VB Script, Internet Explorer, and ASP are all used in the configuration of this application.
  • Responsible for both front-end and back-end software development. Front-end development included creating Active X components that reside on both the client and the server. Back-end development included writing stored procedures that access multiple SQL Server databases.
  • Created Visual Basic Add-Ins that inserted/removed error handling code and line numbers into/from Visual Basic project files. These VB Add-Ins provide an automated way to check out (from Visual SourceSafe)VB projects and files, insert or remove code, and then check in the projects and files with the updates.
