  • Designed and Developed a red lining tool using ESRI Mobile ADF, ARC SDE 9.3 ARC GIS Server to allow remote editing of Fiber Data by the Field Users. Created Web spatial data viewing tool. Using ESRI Web ADF, ARC GIS Server and ARC SDE 9.3 design and developed a web interface to allow viewing and editing of spatial layers over the web. Added tools for address search, Geocoding, reverse Geocoding. C#, VS 2008, ESRI Web ADF. The objective was to provide a state-of-art data model that would enable the efficient documentation and management of network data. This would help to dramatically improve response times to queries and network outages by enabling users to easily maintain and quickly access business critical information. A fully implemented solution will facilitate the management and upgrade of existing networks; monitoring of assets and their geographic locations.
  • This system helps track their Fiber, Transmedia, Trenches, and routes in a spatial database. The application was built with a Struts based front end with embedded Java Applets, an ORM/VO based persistence layer and Stateless Session Beans hosted on Web Logic for the business layer. Oracle was used as the data store with a substantial amount of PL/SQL used for complex queries. The spatial data for the Fiber Management System was stored in Oracle using ESRI’s SDE. ESRI’s ArcIMS server was used to visual the network maps Technologies used: J2EE, Java, JSP, Servlet, Applet, Struts, Oracle, JMS and Web Logic.
  • Designed and developed a Web based tool which allowed for the viewing, searching, editing, and analysis of the spatial data showing the 25,000 miles of route lines and cable access points that make up the Level 3 network. Functionality included search, feature selection, map tips, buffering, and measurement.
  • The Web Tool allows disconnected editing to a versioned SDE Database. The Route Manager used Java Swing, Java2D, and ESRI Map Objects API to develop the front end which was delivered to the application users via Java Web Start. A middle tier containing the foundational business logic layer was built using Stateless Session Beans hosted on Web Logic. The spatial data was stored in Oracle utilizing the ESRI SDE API. Java, J2EE, Struts, ARC Objects, Arc IMS, JMS, Oracle, Tomcat, Web Start, Web Logic, IPlanet and ESRI GIS.
  • Designed and developed the Fiber Management System which served as the inventory system, provisioning system, and capacity planning system for the fiber optic cables and ducts that comprise the Level 3 network. The Fiber Management system was developed for Confidential . Fiber optic owners like telecom companies have their valuable assets underground. Majority of these companies manage their assets manually in Microsoft excel. This process is prone to error and quite costly especially for large companies with billions of dollars invested in building the network.
