Solution Design Engineer Enterprise Projects

  • Interface Inventory: An enterprise project to identify the interfaces across all the systems at Horizon. IBM Rational Asset Analyzer tool was used to scan all the application source code including COBOL, JCL, JAVA .NET and to capture all the application communication points.
  • Interface Reduction: This project was started to fulfill the enterprise goal of reducing 28 interfaces for the year 2008. Redesigned the existing letter generation system. Reduced more than 36 interfaces by consolidating the existing letter generation process into a single integrated web application and some Web Services. Soon this new communication app has become the single system for sending the letters to the members / providers and to track the correspondence back from them.
  • Provider Hub: This was an MDM project to consolidate and master the duplicate provider domain data across the organization. A Provider Hub was built as a system of record which improved Data Consistency, Performance and Quality. I was responsible to lead and successful delivery of the project. Worked with several Data / System Analysts to build a Master Provider Data system that has capabilities to integrate with many internal and external systems / applications. IBM InfoSphere MDM was the primary tool used in this project.
  • Blue Square MRRP: A J2EE based application built to replace the current semi-automated medical record processing system. Used Datapower to build a multi-protocol gateway module to access an external MQ messages as a Web Services calls.
  • NASCO Static Benefits Accumulation: A J2EE based application built to associate accumulation rules to millions of NASCO static benefits. Informatica was used to extract millions of data from the Mainframe DB2 database and load them to a SQL Server database.
  • ImagePlus Image Retrieval Web Services: Web Application and Web Services were built to retrieve the documents from the Mainframe based content management system, IBM ImagePlus.
