  • Using MYSQL community server and WorkBench I redesigned their primary database I looked deep into the data and started to restructure tables to put some human meaning into both the table names and table structures.
  • I created a data table history within the different systems that gave them the ability to track changes to data and hold people accountable for data entry.
  • I converted common application code from the web application level into the data system using triggers, stored procedures and functions. This in time eliminated code that was spread out between several web user interfaces and brought into a common area that all interfaces could then share. Reducing the time needed to find and update code.

  • Redesigned web applications to match the new data schemas
  • Upgraded Code Charge generated classic asp code to VB.NET 2.0 as a first step towards bringing their primary web interface into a more modern language.
