Interactive Web Mobile Developer

• Managed and developed interactive pharmaceutical sales performance projects using the following: Adobe Flash CS6/Actionscript3, HTML, CSS Javascript . For iPad development HAVAS used Veeva iRep as well as Adobe AIR.
• I worked as part the Bluestar development team at HAVAS. The team produced sophisticated interactive applications based on a client's requirements. In addition, the projects go thru QA, legal and regulatory reviews to ensure expectations are met. As part of my responsibilities, I examine existing frameworks and code architectures used on existing projects to modify or add new features. In some cases, I would start a project from scratch while on others I would reuse existing source code as a starting point. A lot depends on the team's goals, timeline and the project's strategic direction. As a technical leader I offer my insights, share new ideas and concepts as well as best practices on how the team can improve work-flow and performance. The projects that I have worked on range from websites, iPad apps using iRep html5/Javascript, to large monitor/panel touch display projects for conferences. The interactive Flash presentations were imported into the Exploria platform used by the clients' sales force to showcase the interactive Flash projects. • Subtitle Project: Responsible for direct communications with the major stakeholders that included the Vice President at MTV Networks responsible for their Media Tech Strategy and the MTV International group to show them prototypes from development thru staging phases of the project seeking feedback and insights using an agile development approach. I was responsible and managed all stages of the Subtitle life cycle from analysis, design, development, testing, staging and production.
• Responsible as technical lead on a subtitle closed captioning Flex 3 / Flash CS3 / ActionScript 3 project.
• Worked with a Flash developer in Germany who developed the Flash subtitle editor, my role was to define the API that allows Flex to communicate with the Flash subtitle component.
• Responsible for specifying the requirements for the back-end processes, for example, reading and writing XML that contains the subtitle content that Flex will read from the Flash component.
• The system is completely driven by XML for Local Language support, for example, the menus, labels and pull-down menus can be in one of approximately 16 different languages including Chinese.
• Developed the subtitle Flex portion of the system using the MVC cairngorm framework.
• Content Management UI Redesign Project: Responsible for the front-end development and redesign of one of MTV Network's proprietary main content management systems that included MTV, CMT, Logo, VH1 and Nickelodeon brands.
• Improved site usability by introducing a pull-down menu based on the implementation of Yahoo's UI AJAX libraries for each of the brands instances.
• Improved the site's look and feel Web 2.0 with slide-out panels that replaced the older type of pop-up windows to manage related information and improve ease of use. Created a branded site experience, when the visitor logged into the system the showed the appropriate brand's logo. Used html, css and javascript as well AJAX calls to reduce screen refreshes and to send and receive data with back-end Java services. I did not develop any Java code but I coordinated and with Java developers on the specific project requirements.

IT Manager - Global Information Technology

• Designed and developed a global sales site template that was rolled out in Brazil, Canada, Italy, and the United Kingdom as well as a North American marketing site building upon this successful approach. This web application template contained a home page and seven sub sites that included sales news, products, events, team and human resource content. A Flash/XML component was developed for the site to solve a double-posting issue and save time for the sales team. The Flash component was written to read XML data from seven different Lotus Notes Databases, to aggregated data and to sort by date and display the latest sales information with links to documents for the sales force. Local language was also supported in the design of this web site.
• Consulted, supported, and trained various functional areas in developing custom web-based applications and Intranet websites including: Global Innovation, Finance, Security, Marketing, Sales, Corporate Communications, Human Resources, and Travel. eLearning tools used for training purposes: Captivate and Articulate.

• The above site is hosted by openshift.com owned by RedHat . Openshift.com offers a developer host limited free edition for Node.js sites. The demo site also makes use of GitHub to store the source. When I update the GitHub repository openshift will automatically get the update from the GitHub and restart the server. The main area of the site show's pictures content that makes use of .json files.
• Sample mobile application built using the jQuery Mobile 1.4 framework and the Google Map's Javascript v3 API to tell the visitor the walking distance and how long it would take to walk from an address in Westchester to one of the local Metro-North RR Stations.
