Senior Rep Resume

0/5 (Submit Your Rating)

Boston, MA

SUMMARY:

  • Ambitious 25-year-old with goals of achieving success in the investment industry and driven to become the greatest investor I can be
  • I’ve been interested in investing since my first introduction to it in my “Intro to Finance” in high school
  • In my spare time these are some of my favorite activities: reading (history, psychology, finance), spending time outside/in nature, chilling with family, going out with friends, watching sports/History channel, cooking/baking, working out Investment Process/Philosophy
  • Small/Microcap stocks are often overlooked due to their perceived high-risk nature and small size; however, I believe this leads to a frequent mispricing between the current and intrinsic value of a business
  • Process starts “bottom up”; first identifying a potential undervalued company using stock screener, secondly analyzing the company’s industry/competitors, and finally looking over current market conditions, credit cycle and economic trends. Another key aspect of analysis involves Michael Porter’s five forces of industry competition: bargaining power of suppliers and buyers, threat of substitute product/service and new entrants to the industry, as well as the current rivalry amongst existing competitors
  • What I look for: competitive advantage, stable/growing cashflow, high industry entry barriers/low exit, excellent employee relations with strong consumer focus
  • Result: Sharps Compliance - bought at $5.20, sold at $8.75, Return 51%
  • Small medical/pharmaceutical waste management company: mispriced due to CEO change, economic uncertainty End result was company being bought out by a private equity firm Successful due to above analysis of what I look for, perception from most investors was low, company was at an inflection point
