The Consolidated Derivatives project involved the creation of a centralized database for all GE GECC derivatives with automated reconciliation and capability to analyze and report the data for ad hoc, SEC and Regulatory reporting. The prior process to gather, consolidate, reconcile, analyze report derivatives for SEC Regulatory reporting was manual and time-consuming. The source of data across GE and GECC was inconsistent. Some data was captured in Treasury systems applications WSS, FXpress, Reval, Cognos , whereas, remaining data was gathered via Excel.
