Responsibilities:

Serving in a hybrid role of data modeling and Oracle database administration. Primary emphasis is Data Architecting all custom Oracle databases using dimensional modeling or relational if needed . Currently supporting development in three data warehouses one for each of our divisions Individual, Retirement Plans, and Group to comply with our in-house modeling and development standards. I work with Business Analysts to refine requirements, develop technical designs for the database and ETL, then assist with implementation on the database. I also assist with the support of any packaged applications. In this role, I have mentored both data modelers and DBAs on the concepts of logical and physical modeling. Additionally, I assist with tuning of queries and database performance. Lastly, I am also responsible for installing Oracle RDBMS software including single instance and Oracle RAC. The monitoring of all databases is done with Oracle OEM 10g we are preparing to upgrade to OEM 12c sometime this year .

Technical Environment:

Redhat Linux Servers used for PRD, MODEL, TEST Oracle databases. Small legacy Oracle databases still on Windows 2007 servers
