Serving as a Database Architect on contract with APEX Supply Chain Technologies in Mason, OH. This role is focused on the hardening of the Trajectory web application that APEX customers use with their vending equipment to manage inventories. The build out of the Production environment and improving monitoring capabilities has been my focus including the installation of OEM12c for production monitoring. However, I have been working with the Application Architect to close performance problems and handle the archiving of historical data. I also assisted with the development of Data Fix utilities PL/SQL packages that assist with the correction application data due to gaps in the Trajectory web application.

Served as a Data Architect on contract with Dunnhumby USA in Cincinnati, OH. This role was focused on the migration of the Kroger Customer Reporting KCR database from Microsoft SQL Server to an Oracle Exadata Platform. Some redesign of database views and backend tables is necessary to incorporate the features and benefits of the Oracle database. ERwin 9 is used to model the database changes/enhancements as part of the KCR Migration. I also assisted with the development of QA utilities PL/SQL packages that assist with the reloading of Oracle tables and verify the completion of the loads.

Responsibilities:
Served in a hybrid role of data modeling and Oracle database administration. Primary emphasis is Data Architecting all custom Oracle databases using dimensional modeling or relational if needed . Supported the development in three data warehouses one for each of our divisions Individual, Retirement Plans, and Group to comply with in-house modeling and development standards. I worked with Business Analysts to refine requirements, develop technical designs for the database and ETL, then assist with implementation on the database. I also assisted with the support of any packaged applications. In this role, I have mentored both data modelers and DBAs on the concepts of logical and physical modeling. Additionally, I assisted with tuning of queries and database performance. Lastly, I was also responsible for installing Oracle RDBMS software including single instance and Oracle 11g RAC two nodes . The monitoring of all databases is done with Oracle OEM 10g.
