For example the end-users sometimes ran queries which accessed multiple tables in pharmacy database for hours without getting the appropriate results.   • Performed monthly loads for10 databases which contained over 900 tables occupying over 600 GB of disk space. Dropped old tables and prepared new tables for monthly data loads. Executed over 100 SQL scripts for the Data Warehouse databases. Fixed loading errors related to data quality, failed indexes and database space issues. Created views for eleven databases and granted the necessary permissions to users. Implemented user requested schema changes and built new data marts models using Erwin.
  • On the Health Connect project for Lab Misys Data Extract, did analysis, created ETL mappings. Wrote SQL and shell script code, built interfaces and delivered data extracts. Analyzed the impact of the Health Connect project on the Data Warehouse, as well as the downstream impact.
  • Led the migration of the legacy Sybase Membership system to a new system called Common Membership (CM). Implemented the full life cycle of the CM migration from the DB2 data source to the targeted databases in Sybase and Oracle. My responsibilities included JAD sessions in which he worked closely with user communities to define requirements, project work plan, system analysis and documentation, data modeling, connectivity issues associated with DB2 connect and ODBC for Informatica ETL tool which were used for mappings development, system interfaces and architecture design.
  • Designed the initial logical and physical data model for Confidential, a membership claims system. Led the team to upgrade the Confidential claims system in Sybase and ODS Oracle to synchronize with the upgraded Oracle Human Services Department ( Confidential ) Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) system. Responsible for Confidential project assessment, analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and implementation. Reverse engineered the Sybase model to obtain current Data Warehouse specifications to compare with the Confidential new version upgrade specifications. Reviewed the upgrade impact on the existing Informatica pathway mappings.
  • Designed, developed and implemented the ETL mappings to convert legacy C programs into Informatica mappings. Wrote SQL and shell scripts to automate the load process and the file archiving process.
