Researched, designed, wrote the content and programmed the code for Confidential s first mobile software product using Java. It s a clinical decision support system (DSS) that runs on Android devices. It s sophisticated, has 110 different displays (like a small book), allows users to input data, make mathematical - based drug dose predictions and displays the output in an easy understand manner. It s an expert system and allows non-specialists to make complicated decisions even when there is significant complexity. It runs on my Samsung Galaxy smartphone and is extremely fast. The product is called Confidential and is available on the Google Play market as a free download.
The product is made up of about 225 different files that work together. Are 110 Java files for logic, 110 XML files that format the displays and a string file that contains most of the content. When a display is to be shown, the XML file points to the section in the string file and populates the screen with the proper content.
For this Android app, used Java JDK SE 7, Eclipse (Indigo) IDE, Android SDK - Eclipse plug-in Android Development Toolkit (ADT) by Google.
Developed, and/or put together, seven other very small apps during my learning process using book and tutorial materials: 1) a Sudoku game by working through the book Hello, Android by Ed Burnette. It includes sophisticated data manipulation and audio music; 2) an app to access websites when a user types in a URL; 3) an app to read/write data to a SQLite DB; 4) an app to play recorded words/sounds when selections are pressed; 5) an app to input a phone number and text and send an SMS message; 6) an app that runs a video.3GP file from an Android s SD Card; and, 7) an app that enters an email address, text and sends an email. All apps run on my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
Designed, wrote the content and programmed the code for Confidential s specialized medical DSS for heart disease using Java on PCs.
Designed, wrote the content and programmed Confidential s R&D system using the Perl language on PCs. System makes sophisticated decisions in fourteen therapeutic areas (e.g., epilepsy) and includes thirty-four different drugs (e.g., phenytoin for epileptic seizures).
