  • Project Manager and Developer for an implementation of Apprise ERP. Worked on the data conversion and EDI capabilities for a major cosmetics manufacturer. Used Progress 4GL to develop the processes required for migration of data from the legacy system to the new Apprise system.
  • Created a short term EDI solution using an Access database. Later developed a custom EDI interface to receive orders, send invoices, send advance ship notices and receive forecast data with major retail chains for the new Apprise ERP.
  • Project Manager and Developer for a ticket purchasing project.
  • Developed a Microsoft C# application to control the buying and selling of NYC event tickets for a hotel concierge services business. Led a team of five developers on the project as well as a hands-on role. Responsible for budgets and status reports. Gathered business requirements from the customer to deliver a proposal for the application. Architected the application to connect over 25 hotels to the main office which controlled the operations. Used a Microsoft SQL database to store the purchasing, inventory, order and invoice data. Created several bar coded forms and sales reports using Crystal Reports. The application used a multi-pane shopping cart methodology. Theater tickets and other services were available to enter into the cart. The checkout process involved a credit card interface using Verisign API calls. Created an interface to send the sales and inventory accounting information to Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains. Implemented a secure VPN model to connect the hotels to the main office. Maintained production, QA and development environments with scripts to deploy the solutions. Responsible for QA and code reviews. The system had over 100 users and processed over 500 orders a day. The application allowed them to grow their hotel locations from 15 to 25 with unlimited potential.
  • Project Manager and Developer for a MRO purchasing project. Developed a Progress Webspeed/Biztalk web based purchasing application to replace an established major software package, Ariba, used by over 300 employees. Leveraged my experience in web development, XML and Biztalk to deliver the solution. Developed web service calls to synchronize data between an HR application and the purchasing application. Implemented a ‘punch out’ catalog service to allow users to buy item on vendor websites and return the shopping cart to the purchase order shopping cart. Wrote a web services call to calculate the approval hierarchy using Biztalk.
  • Responsible for many installations of Microsoft Dynamics CRM at client locations. Migrated legacy data in many formats. Employed workflows and business processes to achieve business objectives. Administered CRM training to end users.
