Responsibilities:
- Architected and developed a prior authorizations client service interface. This service offered to clients would allow seamless integration of prior authorization information from our Care Coordination system to their system. Newly created and updated authorizations would be extracted and interfaced to the client’s system providing total automation.
- Architected solution to interface Admission, Discharge and Transfer (ADT) messages into our Care Coordination system. The ADT notification would then be processed internally to notify care givers of a patient’s event as well as load the event information to the data warehouse for historical reporting.
- Architected process to ETL claims from multiple clients into a consolidated Operational Data Store (ODS). The claims data would then flow to a data mart within our data warehouse for reporting.
- Architected and developed an interface to our Cherwell IT Service Management System using Cherwell’s APIs to log job failures real time. The process would then take advantage of Cherwell’s notification services to route a message to an administrator who then could resolve the issue. In addition to the interface, a web application was developed for configuration and reporting purposes.
- Team lead for 3 developers.
- Responsible for tuning backend ETL processes to decrease run times for the loading of claims data.
- Analyst assigned to gather supporting data for the company to achieve a URAC accreditation. URAC is an accreditation designed to promote quality health care services for medical services organizations.

Responsibilities:
- Member of the AIM project team. The AIM initiative focused on extracting financial and patient data from the AMS3 (OLTP operations system) into a data warehouse to provide key metrics for analysis.
- Tools employed for this project included: SQL Server 2008 Change Tracking, IBM’s ETL tool Data Stage and Netezza appliance. My roles and responsibilities included:
- Design data marts for the patient or financial data being extracted.
- Develop extract and load using Data Stage to populate the data marts (dimension and fact tables)
- Member of the Consolidated Warehouse project team. The consolidated warehouse initiative focused on merging data from the 3 operations source systems (AMS2, AMS3, HCHB) into ne data warehouse. This would provide the end users one central location to analyze financial and patient data. My responsibilities included: Mapping the data elements from the different source systems to the different data marts within the data warehouse.
- Create the data flow using SSIS packages to populate and update the different dimensions and fact tables in the data warehouse.
