- Confidential was the Lead Architect for a major public e-Marketplace. Its mission is to develop a premier Internet-based business-to-business global retail exchange. Its members include some of the largest retailers worldwide, with combined revenues of over US $800 Billion. Exchange services include: Auctions/Reverse Auctions, Supply Chain Visibility, Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR), e-Procurement, Sourcing Services (C Confidential log), and Exchange Portal Services The solution consisted of the best of breed of products from the B2B alliance, namely, Ariba, i2, Confidential . The challenge was to provide an integrated solution across all these products, which ran on disparate platforms.
- In this complex project, Confidential played several important roles. As the Lead Architect, she helped design the Operational Models for the Development and Production environments. These environments were highly scalable. The Production environment was scaled up over time to support new functions and services, while the Development environment was consolidated to provide capacity for the Staging environment.
- As the Integration Architect, Confidential created the integration methodology and led a team of architects and developers to design and deploy the Integration Hub for the Exchange using WebSphere Business Integrator. The function of the Integration Hub is to transform and route business documents created in the Exchange, e.g. Purchase Orders, to the Trading Partners, and to transform inbound messages from Trading Partners, e.g. Purchase Order Acknowledgements, to the end-point applications. The solution also entailed implementing message adapters in the end-point applications using MQ Adapters and a message gateway. Ms Mehra was also responsible to build the WBI infrastructure for Development, Staging and Production environment. That including Installing and config the WBI component like Solution Manager (Ldap), Business Flow Manager (WAS, WSAD), Information Development Manager (MQSI) and MQAK. Confidential was also involved in developing some customization for BFM and Solution. Confidential was also responsible to mentor the level 2 support internal Confidential team to support the WBI Infrastructure and applications.
Integration Architect
Responsibilities:
- Confidential performed as Integration Architect for the Gateway Broker project. The project was to deploy a general facility to automate communication between parties in the supply chain. Specifically, it enabled various procurement systems to communicate with suppliers using a number of channels such as EDI, the Exostar marketplace, websites, and direct system-to-system communication. The Gateway Broker acted as a hub, directing the communication between the procurement systems and suppliers.
- The Gateway Broker eliminates the need for each procurement system to develop interfaces for each supplier channel and also ensured that client’s procurement processes are implemented in a consistent fashion. As an Integration Architect Confidential created the integration methodology and led a team of architects and developers to design and deploy the Integration between various procurement systems using WebSphere Business Integrator. The function of this Gateway is route the Purchase Order to its respective Trading Partners and getting Acknowledgements from the Trading Partners. Ms Mehra was also involved to build the WBI infrastructure that involved installing and config LDAP, Websphere application server, Websphere Studio Application Developer, MQSI, Workflow, Mqseries, MQAK and Partner Agreement Manager (PAM).
