SUMMARY

As a BI developer you will design, develop and implement data visualizations (i.e Tableau) and self - service tools that will put key information at the fingertips of our Sales.
Marketing and Customer Relationship Management teams. This role will require you to interact with all facets of the organization to define and understand requirements, develop solutions.
You will be required to conduct data analysis, identify patterns and bring them to light to derive further insights.
Ideal candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills to facilitate discussion at all levels of the organization.
You would be expected to develop a sound business understanding so that it helps you to derive meaningful insights from the data.
3-5 years' experience with Business Intelligence/Analysis and Data Warehousing.
2+ years' experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
Strong SQL proficiency Experience in Redshift or comparable database technologies.
Hands on experience in conducting business analysis, translating it into data schema
Hands on experience in developing ETL using AWS Data Pipes or comparable technologies
Experience with data/reporting marts.
Experience with Hadoop and Hive a plus but not required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

BI Development: Develop reports, dashboards, SQL queries, or metadata layers, using Tableau. Experience with Agile development methodology is required.

Customer Engagement: Partner with business stakeholders to provide them the ability to make decisions and gain insights through data visualization and reporting. This would include requirements gathering, iterations, visualization best-practices, design, deployment, and on-going enhancements.

Data Visualization: Synthesize and translate Business data needs into creative visualizations in Tableau.

Innovation: Add value by providing innovative solutions, and delivering improved upon methods of data presentation by focusing on the business need and the business value of the solution.

Data Querying: Be able to write SQL to do initial data mining that can then be communicated.

Storytelling: Solve Business challenges by helping to translate the meaning of data, impact of that data, and be able to effectively communicate the story that the deliverable tells or the problem that the deliverable solves.

Prototyping: Build prototypes for demonstration and illustration purposes for peer groups, Business partners, or senior leaders.

Problem Solving: Support peers, and stakeholders as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) through troubleshooting, analysis of results, Production Support, and identification of opportunities to solve Business problems through BI.

Drive for Efficiencies: Look for opportunities to improve current processes or find efficiencies by applying industry best practices for BI development.
