Insurance Financial Controller
Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess business risks, and the impact of new or changes to regulatory, audit and financial accounting laws especially in the insurance industry.
- Oversee the company s financial reporting functions for both IFRS and US Statutory. Oversee the company s accounting and tax functions including treasury, controlling, and cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, reinsurance accounting and reporting, and others.
- Ensure compliance wif financial regulations and standards such as (Sarbannes - Oxley, SOC, OFAC, IRA Tax Code, GAAP, IFRS). Provide leadership in the implementation of new accounting standards such as IFRS17 and IFRS9.
- Coordinate information required by internal & external auditors, and regulators.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate financial files and records. Implement record controls over electronic and paper records.
