  • This system is to process parking violations and collection of fines and penalties thorough noticing and payment processing. It provides these services to various state and local entities. This is a mainframe system written in COBOL, APS, with JCLs for batch processing and web interface in JAVA for online. The online system communicates mainframe through MQ connected through CICS. The system uses ADABAS database to store the data.
  • As a Technical Lead I am responsible for designing, developing and implementing enhancement projects to the current system. I designed and developed system’s interface to collections agencies and credit bureau. I developed those interfaces in COBOL, JCL using ADABAS database. I am also on 24 hour call for the production support of the system. I also provide maintenance of the system through system bug fixes.

Mental Health Coordinators

Responsibilities:

  • This system was to help NY state mental health coordinators to create referrals for mental health patients (Child/Adult) and monitor the progress of the patients at different mental health providers. The system was functionally divided into user access screens, child level screens, child client overview, adult client overview, assessment tools and reference entry maintenance screens.

Responsibilities:

  • This system was developed in FOCUS, COBOL, JCLs. In this system various PM regions to login and enter their arrivals forecast, which then converted into shipments forecast by the system. System also had interface to SAP-R2 system to get order and inventory information. After the arrival forecast was entered fully by every region a process (pull process) was triggered which used to create Production forecast. This was then submitted to the manufacturing plant in Richmond, VA.My role was to give production support to the system, which involved fixing FOCUS code, DB2 and JCL. I wrote COBOL online (CICS) and batch programs. I wrote complex SQL queries for DB2. I was Involved in enhancement of the system.

Responsibilities:

  • This was a project to make the system Y2K compliant. Actual conversion was happening at the offshore units of the IMR.I interacted with the client to get the baseline test data and prepare the baseline plan. I performed baseline and then packaged the system to the offshore unit I assisted offshore unit in conversion process. I ran the baseline test data with the converted application and verified the Y2K compliance.
