Installed TADz on the client systems to identify all of the software being used and the software levels. Many customers do not update their z/OS software when they are planning to outsource.
Created a software matrix on Excel to clearly identify the software release levels and the effort to upgrade all Confidential and non- Confidential software.
Logged onto the customer LPARs and verify how the systems are setup.
Worked with customer SMEs to fill out the KT questionnaires.
The KT Questionnaire gives us a better understanding of the environment. This information includes IPL days and times and other critical information such as the number of LPARs being migrated and if it’s in a SYSPLEX environment.
