  • My role for Confidential is to help build and Environment in a 24x7 Operation Role for the company.
  • This role is very different in many ways, because this is a growing Company (3K Employees) with Mom and Pops Operation.
  • With that being said, the first goal for me here was to establish foundation by building a process around where we wanted to go.
  • Work with Vendors on the simple things of Tickets and SLA’s, making sure all equipment was up to date by creating an standard Operation Document, Change Management Process. Using Cisco Prime to help with Level 1.

  • I have been involved with Designing and implementing Network Infrastructure, which include Core Layers (Cisco 6509’s), Nexus (7K,5K,2K,1K’s)
  • Distribution Layers (Cisco 6506’s,and 4500's), Access Layers (Cisco 3750’s,3560’s & 2960’s), as well as Firewalls (Nokia Checkpoint, Cisco ASA). I’m also responsible for working with different cable vendors to prepare quotes and labor
  • Fiber Connections and Copper Connection as well as power. I also work with different Cisco Vendors for Cisco Equipment for example (Teklinks, Presidio). We have many suppliers that we work with here Confidential MBUSI to help us achieve our goals in production.
  • With me saying that, means that they are very important to us, which means we depend on our IT Communication with our Suppliers. I work closely with Confidential & Confidential to provide connectivity to our suppliers by implementing a solution to our Sonet Ring and MPLS cloud.
  • Within the Design we used Cisco 1841 Routers running BGP routing protocol to connect to each of our suppliers. We are always building new buildings that requires Network Connectivity to our Common Network, which I’m responsible for which includes new Network Devices
  • Cable, Power, and Configuration. I’m responsible for preparing SOW and staying within Budget for each project. MBUSI has over 700 Layer 2 Switches, 50 Layer 3 Switches and 25 to 35 Routers, 10 Firewalls, 8 WLAN Controllers, 500 Cisco 1242 Access Points.
  • Which we monitor all of these devices using a monitoring tool called Spectrum.
