  • Developed plan to migrate over 3,000 users from Lotus Notes and SUN Messaging system to Exchange Server 2007. Created a virtual environment using VMware to demonstrate the data migration path from the two disparate email systems into Exchange Server 2007.
  • Used Microsoft Office auto-profile creation tools to automatically create custom profiles for users upon login including home server, customized profile name, and other settings.
  • Developed menu-driven Winbatch program to automatically migrate contacts and calendar information into Exchange from Outlook Express and Windows Messaging on each client.
  • Developed menu-driven Powershell/VB script that allowed service desk technicians to create mailboxes for users by entering the user’s account name in a popup box. The script was activated by double-clicking an icon on the technician’s desktop, and automatically concatenated the first name, middle initial, and last name from AD for the mailbox display name. The script automatically added a mailbox for a user to a set of 4 databases in a round-robin fashion and kept track of the databases and logged each event.
  • Setup Remote Desktop Services for St. Anthony Hospital, which included two Terminal Services servers in a Windows Server 2008 R2 failover cluster using a Node and File Share Majority quorum.
  • Used Group Policy to lock down applications in both terminal server nodes, and setup RemoteApp in the users Start menu, Remote Desktop, and Remote Desktop Web Access in a secured manner.
  • Installed and used SCOM for purposes of monitoring, troubleshooting, and updating Exchange Server 2007, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2003 server environment.
