Network & Security Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Perform SME level support across IT Security, LAN, WAN & Wireless job functions for a company operating 4 regional Data Centers and ~400 locations in ~60 countries. This includes working across time zones and language & culture barriers, as well as with internal staff and external consultants and vendors.
  • Participated in large scale acquisitions and divestitures, including a complete split of the company’s IT Infrastructure. This included the buildout of a completely new set of Data Centers, including cutovers utilizing high available designs to achieve extremely limited or no downtime.
  • Supervised the day to day Network Operations of a global company, including mentoring and guiding less experienced staff, and reporting up to IT Director level on existing, upcoming and resolved challenges.
  • Managed Enterprise Level outages and coordinated appropriate response teams, based upon criticality.
