Open Migrator is the host based software to copy/mirror data from logical volume to new logical volume or disk to new disk. In this project, we create new volume group along with logical volumes, then we use EMC Open Migrator to mirror existing logical volume with new logical volume.
• When the mirror/copy operation complete, we split the mirror and vgexport both existing and new volume groups. Upon vgexport completion, we vgimport the volume group with the new physical volume that contain the data that have been copied.
• Create run book on storage consolidation on DMX4-4500 storage. Wrote the step by step procedure on how to create meta LUN, map the LUN to FA port, LUN masking and create new zone on the Cisco MDS switches.

• Wrote the Korn shell script to gather number of R1 (source SRDF device) and non-R1 devices on DMX4.
• With EMC symrdf command, created the dynamic paring on R1 and R2 LUN, establish the pairing to sync up the data between R1 and R2 LUN.
