Researched the inability to apply the Oracle Security Patch 68 and discovered the cause of the problem was an old Opatch so down loaded and unloaded a current Opatch. Used Oracle Enterprise Manager to change database parameters, add data files, examined Oracle settings and to determine how much free space and how much actual space was being used by each DBSPACE. Examined Oracle logs to trouble shoot and correct Oracle configuration problems such as to little undo space. Manually converted Oracle 9i database to Oracle 10g. Installed Oracle 10g on several machines and also performed manual upgrade from 9i to 10g on several machines. Backups to the Oracle database were done via Veritas snapshots and via RMAN using the RMAN catalog. The restore capability included the restoring via the Veritas snapshots as well as restoring via stored RMAN tapes and using the RMAN database and tablespace restore and / or recover capability of RMAN. This software included UNIX Korn shell script to implement an SCCS software maintenance system, triggers, and stored procedures for an Oracle like database. The triggers and stored procedures stored the data in an audit log table required to produce audit log reports on tables that are updated. The triggers and stored procedures also are used to maintain a current balance for each company fined by updating the current balance when fields in tables were updated or records in various tables were inserted or deleted. Software was also developed to allow the system manager to add a user to the database, to delete a user from the database, to list all users in the database, and add all users to the database with a specified home directory. Developed email software to accept and process email received from users and worked on Delphi client server application with a windows 95 front end and a UNIX RDBMS back end.
