Responsibilities:

I worked on data architecting MSAccess applications to convert them into SQL Server 2008 R2 for performance and high availability. This includes spec out designs of new servers, including SAN layout and space requirements, server creation/configuration, installation, and migrations of the current data. I analyzed oil and gas data from Oracle applications from multiple 3rd party vendors (Landmark, Schlumberger, IHS, Drilling Info and Sandridge Energy) for extraction to reporting databases. I cleaned, consolidated and normalized the data for further use by End - User reporting and analytics. I worked on two major projects, one for the IPT team and the other for the Midcontinent team. This also required me to proficient in the analytics tool, TIBCO Spotfire. I installed TIBCO Spotfire Analytics Software and created analytical visualizations per user requirements for studies of well history to determine well performance. For IPT I incorporated a SQL database and Spotfire analytics provided by joint venture partner Sandridge Energy. This database was used to analyze well data by the team in an effort to locate the next best drilling opportunities. I worked directly with a TIBCO professional services consultant to develop and maintain detailed analytic visualizations of the data for use by IPT. This detailed visualization work was then incorporated to the Midcontinent team for their daily use. TIBCO consulting and I worked to design and create a database specific to the Midcontinent team, make major enhancements and add functionality to Spotfire to automate the daily tasks of the Midcontinent team. I wrote code and scripts to download IHS data from the vendor site and uploaded this data to SQL Server to be used by all Repsol teams. I worked directly with system admins to upgrade software and apply patches and was delegated the authority to be Spotfire Administrator from the IT group. I assisted the Business Development team to install and use a Spotfire analytics package purchased from Drilling Info, another third party vendor. These analytics will be used to make recommendations for new well placement and to automate internal team’s daily processes.
