• Performed an Oracle Applications 10.7/Prod 16.1 SmartClient/RDBMS 7.3 upgrade of Oracle Applications 9.4.2/RDBMS 7.1.6.2 database, running on a SUN Solaris 2.5.1 server. The client site was running several of the Oracle Financials and Manufacturing modules, including Payables (AP), Purchasing (PO), and Inventory (INV), as well as a custom application designed to perform the functionality of General Ledger (GL).
• Performed extensive reconfiguration of redo logs, rollback segments, INIT.ORA parameters, as well as a complete rebuild of the database using 8K db block size.
• Developed specialized routines to clean up audit logs and trace files, as well as to perform Oracle imports and exports via UNIX Named Pipes with split and compress utilities (to circumvent UNIX 32-bit O/S limitation of 2 GB file sizes).
• Performed full complement of Oracle Applications DBA functions.
