ROLE : Project Manager cum Senior Data Architect
BDA is an internal Big Data Project that was a Proof of Concept for sales team. I was responsible for the following as a part of the proposed solution
1 Gathering medical data i.e Physician, Patient, Treatment, Diagnosis, and related data from Internet using Mozenda Tool. Also I retrieved back additional personal data, such as date of birth, location of birth, Weight Height, any personal data that reflects the individual race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, etc. .
2 Developed a Data Model to support the storage of content analytics, and to store the full extractions onto AWS EMR Elastic Map Reduce environment.
3 Testing the Data in the Alchemy API tool to check for the Alchemy API standards and the keywords which can be used for Descriptive and Performance Analysis.
4 Creating the data for Qlikview which is an exploration discovery Analysis.
5 Inserting the data into OPENEMR database.
6 Mapping the data from both OPENEMR to Qlikview.
7 Insure that data once extracted from the EMR is HIPAA compliant.

Description: Confidential is one of the world's largest hospitality companies that offer individual consumers and business-to-business customers a broad suite of hospitality products and services across various accommodation alternatives and price ranges through premier portfolio of world-renowned brands. It is also world's largest developer and marketer of flexible, points-based vacation ownership products.
Voyager Platform/System:-
- A Wyndham had Physical Inventory Application which enables a variety of opportunities to modify data in its Physical Inventory database. The users modify physical inventory information that resides in a SQL Server Database. It also holds a set of views that simplifies the relevant data managed within. But, the current solution is very fragile, and as such there is concern that any time the business partner touches it, there's risk of breaking the data transition to pi-views as there is little understanding of how the data is being moved to the Voyager Data Platform Moreover, the current system only provides for daily refreshes of information from the Physical Inventory over to PI Views.
- I had the responsibility to bring up a solution. In order to resolve this issue, I was responsible for the performing the below tasks as a part of the proposed solution:-
- Trace the impact of 35 different transactions across Property and Inventory Management system so that user can have clear visibility of the changes they made either in the Source System or any of the downstream system.
- The impact was being done by interviewing the Business Persons, Query the ETL repository, analyzing ETL mapping, understanding the documents and tracing down the impact. This was further summarized into Data Flow Diagrams.
- Provide a quick and effective means to refresh the Physical Inventory Views in the voyager platform, without encountering any down time for the views.
- Lead team having 3 Analyst and 1 Technical Writer.
- B There was no daily data validation queries/reports designed to do a Data Validation Check for each domain/subject area. So, there was a need to design and execute a regular data validation check after the daily ETL jobs were being done that will validate at a high-level the key attributes and measures of each business domain within scope. This check should then compare it against the source system to determine the relative accuracy for each domain area. I am responsible for the below tasks to be performed as part of this solution are:
- Analyze and define high-level key metrics to be captured for each business subject areas that can quickly determine whether the production data is within the valid range or not. Compare key metrics with source data.
- Based on the domain, metrics will be compared at different data processing layers including Stage, Central Repository, Hub, and Analytics.
- Handling the team and updating the management of the Progress.
- Develop the High Level Design, Low Level Design and develop SQL statements that will populate the to-be-distributed flat-file.
- Develop flat file report that will be provided to users.
- Lead both on-shore and off-shore teams of 8 Technical Analysts.
- C After migration of the data in each layer, it needs to be tested to do data validation. My responsibilities for the this are as below:
- For field to field testing, mapping is done for each field at each layer. Queries are written for each filed to validate the counts at each layer. They were migrated in QC Tool where they were executed for validation of counts.
- In HRMS Testing, the mapping of the fields was done at each layer. Scenarios were prepared for each field and then queries were written. After migration of these queries in the QC Tool, validation was done after the counts of records at different data processing layers including Stage, Central Repository, Hub, and Analytics comparison.
- In the UAT testing, reconciliation of Testing needs to be done. To accomplish this task, mapping of the data was done. Then, queries were written and migrated to QC Tool before executing which is validation point for testing.
- Lead 3 on-shore Technical Analysts.
- D Responsible for the creation of different database scopes for next phase work. Analysis for work and hours required for the completion of these scopes was done.
