  • Responsible for multiple RAC and non RAC databases (40G to 20TB, non-production and production environments), running Oracle 12.1.0.2 and 11.2.0.4 on Linux Red Hat, Solaris and IBM AIX servers, using EMC VMAX, Symmetrix, Clariion and Hiatchi storage devices, in support of multiple mission critical Java based and 3rd party vendor supplied applications, in a 24x7 environment, using SharePlex for data replication. Use of RMAN, SQL Backtrack and EMC snapshot technology for backup and recovery.

  • Lead DBA on the PeopleSoft V8 upgrade project. Worked directly with the application leads, developers and management to plan and implement the required changes to the database based on the PeopleSoft upgrade process. Investigated the use of and implemented Oracle’s character set utility to advise management of the impact of converting from character set WE8ISO8859P1 to UTF8 during this upgrade.
