As part of a team, helped to create an inventory application for the branch office’s training materials. Using a Microsoft Access 97 database as the repository for the data, the team developed an application that used VBScript, Javascript, and ASP to maintain items from the inventory, and to track the availability of a particular item. As an extension to this application, and integrated within it, developed a VBScript/ASP news and event application allowing the user to enter, change, or delete information about various company news and events. News information, which could be of a general nature or tailored to a specific group of people (consultants on the bench, in-house developers, etc.), is accessed by clicking an appropriate icon or link on the main menu page of the inventory application. Another menu page link takes the user to the event calendar page, where the user can see what’s happening during the month desired.
