• At Todd Travel Promotions (“TTP”) a leading distributor of promotions to the travel industry, led the development of multiple web-based applications to enhance the gathering of travel agency and travel agent profiling information. This information is used to assist the marketing efforts to these travel agencies and agents. Was instrumental in the creation of the user specifications/ project plans / developing the technical specifications as well as coding these applications. The technologies to implement these sites were Active Server Pages, Analysis Server, HTML, JavaScript, Java, CSS, Visual Basic, and Visual Basic.Net interfacing with SQL Server 2000 via both “Embedded SQL” and “Stored Procedures”. Developed a Google search application using their API with Visual Basic.Net.
• Architected and developed an Order Processing application, reducing data retrieval time from 2 hours to 5 minutes using Access, Excel in conjunction with “Visual Basic for Applications” (VBA). The production data is stored in SQL Server and accessed using Stored Procedures and User Defined Functions (UDF’s). Access Forms and “Embedded SQL” were used to the front-end the data that is stored on the SQL Server. Excel was used for reporting.
• Developed a system to create a Global Database of United States and Canadian Travel Agents. This system was developed using ASP, SQL Stored Procedures, and SQL Server Data Transformation Services. Monthly files are processed that are acquired from ARC, IATA, and CLIA. Recruited/Mentored Web Developers while developing these web applications.
