Over 25 years payroll processing experience. Key functions include (but are not limited to) preparing and distributing company-wide payroll checks, processing tax and deduction withholdings, issuing W2 statements, and maintaining employee earnings and deduction records. Primary Functions:
- Manages the complete payroll processing cycle; includes weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly, and commission pay for over 900 plus hourly and salaried employees, including multi-state
- Compiles payroll data (such as hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, insurance, and other withholdings) from timesheets or other records, enters data into computer, posts wage data, computes wages and deductions, posts payroll records, and reconciles errors.
- Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records. Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments.
- Updates and maintains all payroll records. Typical updates include (but are not limited to) changes in address, taxes, deductions, raises, and benefits.
- Files quarterly and yearly taxes. Ensures payroll is in compliance with the law and meets IRS standards. Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
- Periodically recommends and implements changes in processing methods or procedures to maximize the accuracy and efficiency of the payroll processing cycle.
- Assists employees in researching/resolving various payroll issues or discrepancies. Responds to inquiries via phone, email, male, and face-to-face contact with employees.
- Provides administrative/clerical support to other members of the payroll processing team or department as required.

- Microsoft Office Suite 2003/2007 (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer)
- Lotus 1-2-3, QuickBooks, and Navision Financial
- IBM AS/400
- Payroll processing software includes ADP, PeopleSoft HRMS, Kronos Timekeeper, and Ceridian
