Mechanical Engineer Resume
Albuquerque, NM
Objective
Contribute to the developmentof the organization\'s goals and objectives. As an engineer I want to be responsible for the design process, fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, and testing/qualifying the design.Follow an organization’s engineering processes for developing quality designs, proper documentation, and engineering analysis that will show traceability to system requirements.
Education
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Qualifications
I helped a team of senior mechanical engineers in machine fabrication at CONFIDENTIAL. As a member of the technical staff, I’m experienced in hardware design, fielding of experimental efforts, and engineering analysis. I have been working with mechanical design utilizing 3-dimensional modeling in SoildWorks, conceptual design drawing, and piece part and assembly process for several years. I was responsible for generating mechanical design and detailing of pulse power systems, microgrids, and power modulators. I’m experienced in verifying designs utilizing Solidworks Simulation FEA packages, and Flow Simulation. I was responsible for stress/strain and thermal analysis to verify performance of the parts and/or assemblies.
I worked on an IR&D program involving the RO1 where the primary objective was to evaluate the Pulse Forming Network (PFN) configuration and the flexible connection in the output. Under this program I worked on the mechanical design, fabrication, and assembly process. I also helped qualify different sub assemblies by performing different electrical tests, such as hi-potting. I also served as one of the test conductors for verifying and testing of the RO1 PFN.
I assisted in designing the high voltage section of the modulator associated with Max Power. I was responsible for the mechanical design, fabrication, and assembly process of the high voltage section. I helped lead the mechanical effort in the assembly process of the modulator. During this effort I managed a group of employees to ensure the completion of our task. I was a member of the Max Power Team that received an achievement award in Going the Extra Mile for Teamwork.
I lead the mechanical effort on TMVCS, which was a microgrid type system. I solely was responsible for the mechanical technical data package which included the solid model of the full system, documenting, and the interfaces. I also was responsible to work with the lead EE on making sure these interfaces were defined between the two teams. All of the programs I work on require a security clearance, so I still have an active secret security clearance.
