Responsibilities:
- Led accessibility for Confidential division which had 19 compliant product releases.
- Advised products throughout Confidential on accessible use of interactive charts and visualizations which improved UX and products achieved compliance with legal requirements.
- Produced standards for accessibility, active member of W3C WAI-ARIA and co-lead of the (graphics) SVG accessibility task force. W3C WAI-ARIA standards provide the accessibility API for HTML, CSS, SVG and JavaScript. W3C WAI-ARIA's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines ( Confidential ) is the basis of most web accessibility regulations.
- Served as Chair for the Accessibility Architecture Review Board's Complex Visualization Working Group, ensured Confidential had access to accessible visualizations, provided advice to developing technologies and promoted best practices.
