Created, modified COBOLII/DB2/CICS programs for pharmacy claims processing for major medical insurers. I Created JCL, procedures and sort control cards to execute those programs. I was instrumental in moving the Planfinder Project (a project to find the lowest cost of a drug ) forward by offering solutions to enable the errors screens to be populated with the correct information page after page. This project utilized a lot of DB2 (new tables) requiring a lot of joins, this enabled me to interact with the DBA’s to make the tables efficient. I also modified CICS programs to use temporary storage queues. I also wrote specifications from business use cases. When the projects I worked on went into user acceptance and production, provided a warranty period 24/7 for the first 3 weeks after installation.

DST Systems Inc. As a consultant I participated on the American Express Conversion Team converting data to the TA2000 system.
