Project: IS-Collateral Command System (CCS)

The Collateral Command System (CCS) is Balboa's flagship Insurance tracking system. It is a Mainframe based system. Originally the system was designed to track insurance on vehicle collateral; it was later enhanced to track mortgage loans. The CCS system deals with providing new developments (projects) and enhancements of the CCS existing system. Also, deals with providing production support and application maintenance.

Link Loans Project, currently Balboa Insurance systems and operators verify and update loans individually. Loan and insurance information is verified and tracked independently, resulting in one or more loans for the same property being tracked or even lender placed, leading to incorrect coverage of customers' properties (over or under insuring). Several systematic and manual processes are involved in tracking.

This project will put in place the required enhancements to ensure that our systems track only one loan on a property when multiple loans exist. Tracking system will link all active loans tied to the same property under the same holding company, except for Condominiums and REO properties.
