This function is called the Mass Change process.

Application Summary: The Department of Labor and Workforce Development is a large, diverse department with dual areas of focus - providing both workforce development and Employment Security; Employment and Workforce Development provide a wide variety of workforce development services: Employment Security administers Tennessee’s unemployment insurance program. The division takes and processes unemployment claims, pays unemployment benefits to eligible claimants, and collects wage information and unemployment insurance premiums from employers.
Project Summary: American Recovery and Reinvestment Act authorized states to pay Federal-State Extended Benefits (EB), Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC08) and Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) to unemployed workers because of the economic instability. This had to be done in a timely manner so that monies could be provided to those that qualified for these benefits.

The merchandising systems data warehouse was developed to efficiently track invoicing, movement and reconciliation of company wide product and outside vendors. The application also provided warehouse and store management teams, an ability to develop drill down queries and daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting functionality.
Project Summary: Requirements were developed to extract, cleanse, transfer and load merchandising systems data in an on-line real time environment. CICS on-line processes were developed to capture merchandising applications data as it became available. Captured DB/2 table data was then reformatted as QSAM files and transferred to the UNIX platform using NDM TCP/IP as the file transfer protocol.
The transferred merchandising data was finally used to populate the UNIX platform data warehouse DB/2 tables.

Application Summary: Customer Information System (CIS) project
The utility company was in need of a new system to accommodate the expansion and
growth of service and customers that had been accumulated over the past ten years. A
software system had been purchased from IPS(Iowa Public Service) that would fit the
needs of the company and clientele. Major enhancements were needed to customize the
system since it was tailored to specifically for IPS.

Project Summary: This project consisted of major modifications to the system that was
purchased from the vendor. IPS provided service for electricity, water and gas customers.
Kentucky Utilities provided only electricity to its customers so the gas and water modules
had to be stripped out of the system and the electricity modules were kept and modified
to fit the needs of the company.
