Involvement in software development and software maintenance on System I (AS400), Linux and Windows Systems.

Key Achievements

• Software development and maintenance for REVS system using RPG IV / RPG III, SQL, RPGIV-Embedded SQL, , SYNONE/2E on system I (AS400) & Java
• Software development of a Web based graphical interface for REVS Call Centre using Java Script / HTML & Strategi HSM (High Speed Messaging), Java Server pages on web/application server and RPG IV on database sever (backend - AS400) using MVC architecture
• Creation of user Authentication application for the web interface for the REVS Call Centre using Java, JSP (Java Server pages) and OS400 APIs on Apache Tomcat Server running on System i
• REVS to PPSR Data Migration (PPSR- Personal Property Securities Register: Created by amalgamation of about 25 registers from all Australian States to form one common register managed by the Federal Government) Written RPG IV programs in AS400 system to manipulate and extract data and Java programs in Windows System to transform into XML format according to PPSR Data Definition (XSD) and Data Migration Specification
• Creation of a Java Application package for REVS clients to prepare data offline and upload via Internet as a batch to REVS system for processing
• Creation of an email based automated data uploading system in which financiers send their data files as email attachments which are captured, validated, processed in AS400 system and the result report back to financiers as email attachments via Microsoft Exchange Server. Technologies used for this project - Microsoft Collaborative Data Objects (CDO), Windows Shell Host (WSH), Visual Basic & OS400 API and RPG IV. This automated system is now responsible for about 20% transactions of REVS total lodgements
• Automation of data exchange between REVS and REVS business partners such as NSW Police, RTA. Technologies used for this project- CYGWIN Secure Shell & Windows Scripting
