Developed a Java based DOCSIS Proxy Controller (DPC) for the Alloptic FTTH (Fiber to the Home)/EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network) system that would enable the Alloptic Edge 10 EPON system to be provisioned via DOCSIS and PacketCable provisioning systems. Integrated the DOCSIS proxy with the Cisco CNR DOCSIS provisioning server and the Incognito Fast Flow DOCSIS and PacketCable DHCP and TFTP provisioning servers. Developed CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) and CM (Cable Modem) SNMP MIBS for the DPC. Integrated the DOCSIS Provisioning Server with the Alloptic EPON OLT and PMC-Sierra and Broadcom/Teknovus based ONUs using 802.3 Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) OAM messages.

Participated in the FCE (Flatten, Consolidate, and Extend) conversion of Charter’s customer care network of 3,000+ customer care agents from TDM PBXs to VoIP PBXs. The group was also responsible for both Cedarpoint Safari C3 and Nortel CS2K switch launches and new services rollout. Performed a voicemail migration from a PRI-ISDN based Prosodie voicemail server to the SIP based hosted VoIP Logica/Acision voicemail service for the entire Charter network. Evaluated Acme Packets and Nextone SIP Session Border Controllers (SBCs), Voicemail Servers, Juniper ISG-2000 Firewalls, Application Layer Gateways (ALGs) and devised SIP trunking architecture and rollout plan.
