This project will create an automated solution to capture specified data on Freddie Mac PCs and calculate basis adjustments on Freddie Mac guaranteed securities to comply with the rules and effective implementation date of SFAS No. 166 and SFAS No. 167. The solution will create journal entries to record the basis adjustment amortization to the general ledger on a monthly basis in support of a timely and well-controlled financial statement close.

The FAS140 / FIN46(R) Initiative project scope includes updates to the Single Family Transaction Accounting Phoenix accounting processes and systems to comply with FAS 166 / FAS 167 and to support the Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan (“HASP”), including moving securitized loans on balance sheet for all consolidated securities and retiring HFS loan accounting.
