• Tasked with migrating all existing Microsoft Access Databases over to SQL Server 2005.
• Moved all data from Access to SQL and verified proper migration was successful.
• Wrote new or changed existing in line queries to utilize new database language and table names.
• Wrote custom tool with ColdFusion 8 to track files that have been changed to verify and validate proper migration was successful. This tool also tracks speed increase for each in line query.
• Provide custom updates to existing code as needed.
• Create new features and update old code to utilize the new features within ColdFusion 9.
• Updated the HFIR division home page.
• Modernized the home pages look and feel.
• The current home page now acts more as an application rather than a ‘web-page’.
• Removed page refreshing with Ajax and advanced CSS to make the user experience more efficient.
• Provided a solution for the user to customize their home page application so the information they need to get to is always available without having to dig for buried links.
• Designed and developed a complete Experiment Tracking System.
• Modernized the look and feel. And used AJAX to make the system run like an application rather than a webpage.
• The application tracks every experiment that receives radiation in the HFIR reactor. This tool allows the scientists to track all required information about the experiment that is required/needed and also combines all forms and documents required by the government to place the experiment into the reactor.
• The EXSITE Application also includes a feature that tracks all inquires. The Experiment Inquiry Manager keeps contact information, and notes so all internal experiment staff can know what has happened for each Inquiry. A reminder feature is also built in to send emails to internal staff reminding them of important dates/tasks related to inquires.
• With CSS, AJAX, and JavaScript was able to create a 3D image of the reactor core to show which positions have experiments currently in the reactor and open positions that can have experiments included into the next cycle.

• Developed and tested new applications based on minimal verbal directions. (ColdFusion 8, AJAX, JavaScript, etc.)
• Designed and built a complete inventory management system. This application allowed promotional product distributors to have complete control of inventory management. Application was built around the AJAX tools available within ColdFusion. The use of AJAX allowed the application to function as a ‘standalone application’ rather then a web page because of zero page refreshes after initial page load.
• Updated current quote system to allow for multiple view options based on user choices. Also added ability to provide quote in a presentation format similar to power point with the ‘slide’ layout.
